Fun in week one

Fantastic first week!

 We explored building towers using boxes and paper cups.We had to work as a team and think about the foundation and the height of  the pillars.






On Friday we dressed up for discovery time.

Term 4

Welcome back to a busy term! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing holiday.
This week we are getting to know each other and working on some fantastic art for the calendar art fundraiser.

Please remember to send a drink bottle of water to school as the weather is getting hotter.

We have brought a 'surprise' object to school. We are to give the class three clues and we have to guess what it is.

On Tuesday Solway School had cross country. 

Liam
Yesterday we did cross country at the showgrounds. I was the third boy. Mum and dad cheered for me. I am in blue house.

Sophie
Yesterday we did cross country. I went around the big oval. I went with the five year old girls. I ran fast. I was wearing a yellow top. My dad came to watch me. I liked cross country.

We have been having so much fun learning several folk dancing routines. 
On Thursday we have a house folk dancing competition from 1.30-2.30pm.

School in shut on Friday for a Teacher Only Day. Enjoy the long weekend/ Queen's Birthday Weekend.
